TEMPORARY CHANGE TO OPENING TIMES FOR SUGAR NO. 11
®
, COFFEE “Câ€
®
AND COCOA CONTRACTS AND TO DAILY SETTLEMENT WINDOW FOR COCOA
CONTRACTS
Effective with the start of trading for trade date Monday, March 14 and through and including trade date
Thursday, March 24, 2016
(the Exchange will be closed for trading on Friday March 25, in observation of
the Good Friday holiday), the Exchange is implementing a temporary change to the open times for Sugar
No. 11, Coffee “C†and Cocoa futures and option contracts. On each day in this period the opening times
for these contracts will be:
Sugar No. 11: 4:30 am NY time
Coffee “Câ€: 5:15 am NY time
Cocoa: 5:45 am NY time
In addition, for this same period the Exchange is implementing a temporary change to the daily settlement
window for Cocoa futures and options contracts. For this period only, the daily settlement window for
Cocoa will be from 12:48 to 12:50 pm; at the end of this period the window will revert to the normal 11:48
to 11:50 am time. Due to this temporary change to the settlement window, during this period Trade at
Settlement (or “TASâ€) trading for Cocoa will end at 12:50 pm each day instead of the normal 11:50 am
time. (Please note that trading in the expiring March 2016 Cocoa future contract on its last trading day –
3/15/16 – will also end at 12:50 pm.)
Other trading times for these products – including the Pre-Open time, the Daily Close of Trading, and the
Daily Settlement Window for Sugar No. 11 and Coffee “C†contracts – remain unchanged during this
period
as expressed in NY local times.
This temporary change to the referenced times for these products is due to the start of Daylight Savings
Time in the U.S. on March 13, and will last until the start of British Summer Time on March 27.
Traders
outside the US should be aware that DST in the US starts on March 13, and that this may impact
their local time corresponding to the New York Pre-Open, Daily Settlement Window and Daily
Close of Trading times.
