With the close of February trading, the USDA’s preliminary insurance rates for 2022/23 crop were set at all-time record highs of $14.33/bu for #soybeans and $5.90/bu for #corn, with spring #wheat at $9.19/bu, the highest since 2011. Actual insurance levels will be the higher of these preliminary springbased rates and the recalculation in the fall of average prices in October for corn/soybeans and August for spring wheat.
