CME Group Add alt text here SOFR Futures Volume Surpasses 100,000 Contracts Traded Since Launch Just two months from launch, over 100,000 SOFR Futures Contracts have traded, with cumulative volume reaching 101,977 on Thursday, July 19th. A growing and diverse group of market participants have contributed to this volume, and Open Interest has steadily increased, recently surpassing 20,000 contracts. Electronic markets remain liquid, with bid/offer spread often at the minimum tick (0.5 bps). In recent weeks, SOFR Futures and ICS Blocks have also begun trading, further contributing to the growth of Open Interest. For more information on SOFR Futures and our upcoming Cleared OTC SOFR offering, please join us for a webinar on Wednesday, July 25th. Futures trading is not suitable for all investors, and involves risk of loss. Futures are a leverage instrument, and because only a percentage of a contract's value is required to trade, it is possible to lose more than the amount of money initially deposited for a futures product.
